The most calming blueberry smoothie you'll ever have

This blueberry lavender smoothie is super satisfying and fulfilling plus you get the added wellness benefits of the lavender.

Many are famiiar with lavender as a fragrance added to beauty and cleaning products but it offers so much more than just a nice aroma.

100% pure lavender essential oil is a wonderful addition to my wellness regimen and I make sure to get it in with my morning protein shake.

Lavender can promote relaxation, work with the body to fight allergies and reduce excess mucus and support the nervous system in dealing with headaches, the blues and anxiety. It can also promote digestive health by working against gas, bloating and diarrhea. Topically, lavender helps support skin healing from burns as well as itching and eczema.

No wonder lavender is so popular.  I just love it.

Here's what I do to make my smoothie...

Ingredients

22 oz water

3 scoops Nutrimeal Free Protein Powder by Usana (This is what I use.  You can ask me how to get it here: drlisa@beingwellbody.com)

About 1/2 cup frozen organic blueberies

2/3 banana

1 tsp coconut oil

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 drops 100% pure lavender essential oil for internal consumption (I use Young Living's brand. You can ask me more about it here: drlisa@beingwellbody.com).  You can substitute with 1 tsp, dried lavender flowers normally usef for tea. 

Directions

1) Add all ingredients to a blender and blend on low for about 1 min 30 secounds until well combined.

2) Drink and enjoy.
