You need this flavor to help digestion and battle sugar cravings

Bitter foods are those which most people try to disguise with a salty or savory taste or avoid all together.  Sometimes indicating toxicity in the wild, you may even be compelled to spit something out that's bitter and unsatisfying. However, bitter foods are great for the a few reasons.

Check out the video to see why.

  1. Bitter foods and herbs help to stimulate digestive juices and support food digestion
  2. Support the liver’s natural detoxification pathways and stimulate the release of bile which helps to process fats.
  3. Helps to control appetite and blood sugar

Bitter foods include:

Amaranth

Arugula

Asparagus

Bitter melon

Broccoli

Brussel’s Sprouts

Cabbage

Cauliflower

Chard

Cucumber

Dandelion greens

That's not so bad, right?  Many of these foods you likely already eat.  Now you can enjoy these with intention, knowing why they are good for you and aiming to get them in very regularly.

I hope this post was helpful for you!

Until next time...
