Low glycemic eating is part of my Wellbody Weight Loss Program which encompasses eating foods from the Glycemic Index that are rated 55 and below on a scale of 0-100. You really don't have to get too caught up in the numbers, just understand the concept.
The goal is to stock your kitchen with lots of green veggies, wonderful berries, citrus and other fruit, complex whole grains, lean meats and good fats (olive oil, coconut oil, omega’s). Stay away from “white foods”: potatoes, flour products and sugar. We want to make sure that we avoid foods that give you a quick sugar spike (remember that the “white foods” quickly break down to sugar) because this creates an unwanted cycle of cravings and imbalance.
By eating this way you will feel full longer after eating, boost your metabolism, reduce inflammation in the body and balance your blood sugar and shed unwanted pounds.
