Eat for Wellness... Shed the Pounds is a 21 day journey to weight loss, detox, inflammation reduction, craving management, understanding what and how to eat and getting in touch with the emotional reasons behind poor eating habits to perhaps discover... what's really missing from your life.

As an Acupuncturist & Chiropractor who practices holistic wellness, I offer my best insight from years of practice.  I've seen the interconnection between weight, how you feel about your body and your life's joy's & pleasures.  This program was created to address weight loss & detox from a holistic perspective.

 

The Shed the Pounds program was a great jumpstart to my new way of life. The program started by teaching me which foods belong in the “good choice” column versus what would be considered my “cheat choice” column. During the first week, I was super motivated to start the program and see how my body and mind would tranform. The second week was more of a struggle for me with every day life happening, but Dr. Lisa Upshaw was great in keeping me encouraged to not beat myself up and then motivating me to get back on track. The third week, I saw and felt the transformation - my clothes fit a little looser and craving for sugar at every meal was gone. I would definitely recommend the program for those looking to make a positive lifestyle change. I lost 13 pounds while on the program! I learned how to eat six smaller portioned meals throughout the day and how to not be so hard on myself for straying away from the plan (my goals). My personal testimony...

I live a lot of life through my taste buds. The pleasure of eating good food is euphoric... When it’s good I just want more. For this reason, I don’t do well at buffets because to me it’s a free for all :)
Despite my desire to consume copious amounts of sourdough bread, cheese and brownies, my waist line and body can NOT with stand the damage.
Knowing this doesn’t necessarily make it easy, especially because I’ve recognized a big emotional link to my eating. I’ve had to really examine what I’m compensating for by over eating, it’s something I’m always conscious of.
The Shed the Pounds program was born from my desire to have some structure in eating and keep mental and emotional factors in check. My health and fulfillment mean so much now that I have a family.
I want to show my daughter that mommy is in touch with her true life cravings and plays the game of life full out. I don’t want my compensations to show up in food over consumption. So many want to lose weight but really need to learn how to eat, when and why. I’m sure Shed the Pounds will benefits you as it’s helped me and many others.
